A woman has been arrested in connection with the seizure of 14kg of herbal cannabis with an estimated street value of €168,000.
Officers from Revenue's Customs Service based at Dublin Port seized the drugs in three operations in Dublin and Kildare over a seven-day period.
The 30-year-old woman was arrested in Kildare and taken to Newbridge Garda Station for questioning where investigations are ongoing.
In a separate operation, gardaí have seized over €50,000 worth of drugs during planned searches in Ennis, Co Clare.
Cannabis resin, ecstasy and amphetamines (speed) with an estimated street value of €53,000 were recovered during a search of open ground.
No arrests were made, however gardaí have confirmed they are following 'definite lines of inquiry'.
The operation, which involved members of the Clare Divisional Drugs Unit, as well as detectives and uniformed gardaí from Ennis and the Garda Dog Unit from Limerick, was concentrated in the Watery Road area of the town.
On Tuesday night, 2.4kg of cocaine worth €170,000 was discovered in three separate finds in Newmarket on Fergus, Co Clare. The two Co Clare finds are not thought to be connected.
