Four men have been remanded in custody by Dublin District Court in connection with the seizure of cocaine with a potential street value of up to €2m.

All four were charged with posession of drugs and posession with intent to sell or supply. They were all remanded in custody to appear again before Cloverhill District Court next Wednesday at 10.30am.

The four men are 43-year-old Denis Ashe from Lower Dorset Street, 47-year-old David Douglas from Killala Road in Cabra, 24-year-old Ivan Graham from Clifton Road, Rugby in Warwickshire in England, and 23-year-old Voja Petkovic from Chime Close Oakwood in Derby in England.

The court heard from Det Garda Colm FitzGerald and Det Garda Darragh Daly, both from the Garda National Drugs Unit, that the men were arrested last night on Pearse Street and in Donnybrook between 10pm and midnight.

None of the accused made any reply when charged.

The gardai asked that all four be remanded in custody and Judge John Coughlan granted this. None of the men applied for bail.

Meanwhile, two men are still being questioned in connection with a separate drugs seizure in Dublin.

€60,000 worth of heroin, cocaine and tablets were recovered during a search of 16 houses and apartments in the Bluebell area yesterday.
