A crewman who became ill while working on board a Spanish fishing vessel 150 miles southwest of the Cork coast this morning is being airlifted to hospital.
The Shannon-based Coast Guard helicopter assisted by an Aer Corps Casa reconnaissance aircraft from Baldonell flew to the scene and took the crewman off the vessel shortly after 10am.
He is being flown to University Hospital in Cork.
