A man in his 40s has been arrested following the seizure of up to €70,000 worth of cocaine in Cork.
1kg of the drug was discovered after gardaí stopped and searched a van in Strawhall, Fermoy, Co Cork, at around 7.30pm last night.
The driver was arrested and is being held at Fermoy Garda Station.
A further 2kg of cocaine, worth an estimated €140,000, was seized in Mitchelstown in follow-up searches.
The investigation is continuing.
