The Health Service Executive expects to have contacted all the families affected by cancer misdiagnosis in the northeast by lunchtime tomorrow.

Sinn Féin's Tomás Sharkey said he had been assured by senior HSE management that the families will be met by clinical staff from the region.

The Louth councillor said he was told the misdiagnoses had happened within the last three years and about five to seven individuals had been affected.
