The Chief Executive of the National Roads Authority, Fred Barry, has said the authority is involved in a legal dispute with the contractor responsible for the Dublin Port Tunnel.
The tunnel has been forced to close frequently, but Mr Barry told the Oireachtas Transport Committee that he was totally satisfied with its record on safety.
Mr Barry there were a large number of technical issues involved in the dispute.
