A dispute between management and unions at Iarnród Éireann over rostering has led to disruption of some train services.

Further disruption is also expected on some commuter routes tomorrow.

Both sides in the dispute are to hold talks at the Labour Relations Commission tomorrow the morning.

Most passengers departing Heuston Station were unaffected.

However passengers travelling from Dublin to Galway at 1.45pm had to take the bus.

Buses were also put on for those affected by the cancelled services between Cork and Mallow and Tralee and Mallow.

Tomorrow the first train from Portlaoise to Dublin has been cancelled as has the 5.30pm train from Heuston to Carlow tomorrow evening.
