A man has been arrested following a burglary in Dublin that left a 21-year-old man injured.
Gardaí were called to a burglary on Templeview Row, Clarehall, Dublin at 4am this morning.
They found a man with stab wounds lying on the kitchen floor of his house. He was taken to Beaumont Hospital where his condition is not believed to be life threatening.
A couple and three children aged seven, two and two weeks, live in the house.
It is understood two men, armed with a knife and a hammer, broke into their house and stole a small amount of cash and some electrical items.
A confrontation with the burglars then took place. It continued outside the house and in the kitchen of a neighbouring house, where a man was arrested by gardaí.
