Inspectors' reports on 94 schools around the country have been published on the Department of Education's website.
The reports include whole-school evaluations at both primary and post-primary level as well as inspections of the teaching of individual subjects in some schools.
School inspection reports gave been published at regular intervals on the website since February 2006. There are now more than 1,500 school inspection reports published, covering more than 900 schools or centres of education.
Whole-school evaluation reports look at issues such as management of the school and its resources, the effectiveness of teaching and learning, the school’s assessment and supports for students as well as how a school caters for minorities.
Inspectors spend time at the school to evaluate it and then discuss the recommendations and findings with the management and staff of the school.
Subject inspection reports are also published today and these reports evaluate the teaching of specific subjects.
