A 15-year-old boy has been killed in a road accident in Cork city.
The boy was cycling when he was struck by a car on the corner of Kent Road and Pearse Street shortly after midnight.
He was taken by ambulance to Cork University Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
Gardaí at Togher garda station are investigating the incident.
