The trial of a man who is accused of the murder of a father of two and the assault of another man has been adjourned due to problems with a garda interview video tape.
Peter Dolan, 42, of Tulip Court in Darndale denies the murder of Raymond Brown on Clonshaugh Drive in Collock on 2 April 2005. He also denies assaulting Emmett Taaffe on the same date.
The Central Criminal Court jury of seven women and five men was to be shown a 45-minute video of a garda interview with the accused.
However, barrister for the defence John Byrne was concerned that the jurors were unable to make out what was being said, despite the fact it was being played at full volume.
Mr Justice Paul Carney adjourned the trial until 11am tomorrow morning to allow the technical difficulties to be dealt with.
