A case against man accused of attempting to murder a former British soldier has been dropped because of concerns about DNA evidence.
John Hugh Brady, aged 39, from Lisnafin Park in Strabane Co Tyrone, was charged with leaving a bomb under the man's car in 2002.
The former member of the Royal Irish Regiment found the device under his car in Sion Mills, Co Tyrone.
The case was reviewed by the Director of Public Prosecutions following a judge's criticism of low copy number DNA evidence during the Omagh bomb trial in December.
However, Brady remains in prison for the murder of an RUC reservist near Strabane in 1989.
