Limerick - Extra patrols after shooting
Limerick - Extra patrols after shooting

An 18-year-old man remains in a critical condition following a gun attack in Limerick city yesterday evening.

He is being treated for leg and neck wounds.

Gardaí believe the shooting - which took place in the Parnell Street area closed to the railway station - may be connected to a feud in the south of the city.

The gunman, who wore a balaclava, made his getaway in a car driven by an accomplice.

Gardai say extra patrols have been put in place in both the Garryowen and O'Malley Park areas of Southill.
