A man has been sentenced to life in prison for the murder of his 59-year-old partner in Dublin more than two years ago.
Martin Kinneavy, 60, pleaded guilty to the murder of Mary Hannon at their home in Hampton Court, Inchicore, on 22 April 2005.
Ms Hannon was stabbed 14 times.
Kinneavy and Hannon had been together for 12 years and were running a holistic massage business from a number of different premises in Dublin.
Their relationship came under strain after a Sunday newspaper revealed that more than holistic massage was taking place.
The Criminal Assets Bureau investigated and Kinneavy told them a person involved in running one of the premises was responsible.
The couple had to make a settlement of almost €350,000 to CAB because the business had never paid any tax.
On the day of the murder, the couple had a row about money and Kinneavy stabbed Ms Hannon to death.
Afterwards he rang 999 and admitted that he killed Ms Hannon to gardaí.
His lawyers told the court he suffered from depression.
They said he wanted to express his sincere and profound regret to the Hannon family.
Ms Hannon's brother, John told the court the family was not looking for vengeance and felt no ill towards anyone.
Two families are victims here he said.
Mr Kinneavy was sentenced to life in prison for the murder.
