A man has been charged in connection with the theft of 450 kegs from the Guinness Brewery in Dublin last week.

He is due to appear at Kilmainham District Court on 21 December.

Two men in their 20s were arrested yesterday following the recovery of property in Co Meath on Monday.

One man has since been released and a file will prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions

€64,000 worth of alcohol, approximately 40,000 pints, was stolen in the raid last Wednesday.

It is understood a man drove a truck drove into the brewery on Victoria Quay, hooked it up to a trailer containing the kegs, then drove away.
