Customers who have booked their wedding cars with a company owned by Dublin solicitor Thomas Byrne, have been told that they can no longer be provided with the service.
In a letter the company, 'Golden Events' says it has been closed down by the Law Society and has ceased trading.
It is not known how many couples are affected.
Mr Byrne, whose solicitor's practice has also been shut down, is being investigated by the gardaí and the Law Society.
