Agencies working in sub-Saharan Africa are calling for women's rights to be prioritised in the global fight against HIV/Aids.

As World Aids Day is marked around the world, agencies working in sub-Saharan Africa are calling for women's rights to be prioritised in the global fight against HIV/Aids.

An estimated 33m people are living with HIV/Aids.

60% of those infected with the disease are female.

Girls and young women in sub-Saharan Africa are three times more likely to become infected than men or boys.
