A 22-year-old is being detained after a rifle was found in a bag he was carrying on Camden Street in Dublin just before 9pm last night.
Gardaí seized what is believed to be an AK-47 assault rifle and ammunition after they stopped and searched the man in Dublin city centre.
The man is being held at Harcourt Terrace Garda Station.
