The RTÉ Authority has said it is fully satisfied with the scope and thoroughness of the investigation being carried out into the 'High Society' television series.
The two-part documentary, which was presented by Justine Delaney-Wilson, was broadcast on RTÉ earlier this month.
A preliminary report on the investigation was given by Managing Director of Television, Noel Curran, to a meeting of the authority today, and was followed by 'a full discussion and exchange of views'.
A full report on the issue is expected to be available by the middle of next month.
Commenting on the preliminary report Mary Finan, Chair of the RTÉ Authority, said: 'The Authority was pleased to receive Mr Curran's preliminary report and is entirely satisfied with the scope and thoroughness of the investigation being carried out.
'His frank assessment of the processes involved in the development of the programme was welcomed. The members look forward to the receipt of his full report as soon as possible.'
