38 electricians who had been in dispute with the HSE in the south of the country are due to return to work today.
It follows a general welcome by the electricians' union, the TEEU, and the HSE for proposals tabled by the National Implementation Body aimed at resolving the issue.
The electricians were suspended after they refused to respond to their pagers or take instructions by phone.
They are due to meet in Dungarvan on Tuesday to vote on the settlement proposals.
Hospitals in Cork, Kerry, Waterford, South Tipperary, Carlow, Kilkenny and Wexford were affected by the dispute.
The dispute led to a number of scheduled operations at Kerry General Hospital being postponed.
