Man recovering after knife attack in Dublin

A man in his 20s is being treated in hospital following a knife attack at Blanchardstown in Dublin in the early hours of this morning.

Gardaí were called to Sheep Hill Avenue just after 1am. A man had been attacked with a knife and had suffered facial wounds.

He was taken to Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown where his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

The scene has been preserved for a full technical examination. No arrests were made.
