Two men have been arrested following a shooting at a house in Ballyfermot in Dublin.

At around 4am this morning shots were fired into the window of a house in Cherry Orchard Parade.

At the time there were two adults and three children in the house. No one was injured in the attack.

Uniformed gardaí arrived at the scene and chased two men who had threatened the officers.

A sawn-off automatic shotgun was found during a later search of the area and two men were arrested.  They are being held at Ballyfermot Garda Station.
