A file is being preparaed for the DPP in connection with a fire at An Taibhdhearc, the Irish language theatre, at the weekend.
The fire caused extensive damage to the theatre and the annual Christmas pantomime will not take place there this year. A new venue is currently being sought.
One man has been questioned by gardaí and investigations are still ongoing.
Up to 3,000 second level students were expected to attend a science roadshow due to be hosted at the venue next week.
This event will now take place in Leisure Land on the outskirts of the City.
