Two people have been arrested after the seizure of firearms and drugs during a garda operation in Co Kildare.
A number of searches were carried out over the past 24 hours in the Kildare area during which seven firearms, four sawn off shotguns and three pistols, were found.
Gardaí also discovered a quantity of ammunition, drugs paraphernalia, mace, balaclavas and cocaine with an estimated value of €100,000.
A man and a woman were arrested and are being detained at Kildare and Newbridge garda stations.
Further searches are continuing tonight.
