HSE - Dispute with electricians
HSE - Dispute with electricians

Surgery planned for Kerry General Hospital in Tralee today is expected to go ahead after electricians involved in a dispute with the HSE over work practice changes gave assurances that they will provide emergency cover.

11 operations planned for the hospital yesterday and Wednesday were postponed because of concerns for patient safety.

However, no progress has been reported in the dispute overall which has seen 38 electricians removed from the payroll at hospitals across the south of the country.
