The Irish Hospital Consultants' Association has said the decision BY the HSE to continue its recruitment ban for another month is disappointing but not unexpected.
The Consultants' group says the HSE's move means the actual implications for patients will be much more pronounced than the Executive says.
The IHCA says that the real cost of the 1.5% budget saving is found in cancelled admissions, cancelled out patient clinics, longer waiting lists and a workforce that is becoming increasingly frustrated, demoralised and angry.
