Seven people, including a child, have been injured in a road accident near Athlone.
The collision happened just after 1pm on the N61 Athlone to Roscommon road near the Hill of Berries.
The injured were taken to hospitals in Roscommon, Ballinasloe and Mullingar.
The road remains closed and motorists are asked to avoid the Roscommon exit on the Athlone bypass.
