The US Air Force has confirmed a 1994 plan to drop a non-lethal 'gay' love bomb on enemy troops.

A military spending watchdog group in Berkeley, California discovered the proposal through the Freedom of Information Act and passed it onto San Francisco television station KPIX (read their original story here).

The proposal by an Ohio Air Force lab was to develop a chemical that, when dropped onto troops, made them irresistible to each other and unable to fight.

It asked for €5.5mn for the programme, but was later rejected by officials.
