Bill Clinton has announced that his charity foundation has negotiated a deal with two drug manufacturers to provide cheaper anti-HIV/AIDS drugs to developing countries.

Former US President Bill Clinton has announced that his charity foundation has negotiated a deal with two Indian generic drug manufacturers to provide much cheaper anti-HIV/AIDS drugs to developing countries.

Over 60 countries in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean should benefit.

Mr Clinton described the deal as 'life-saving', and said some 500,000 patients could expect cheaper medication.
