Today was a very special day for Bridget Dirrane from the Aran Islands, as she celebrated her 105th birthday, and talked of seeing in her third century. Bridget knew many of the 1916 leaders, and later worked with the Kennedy family in the United States. She also made history two years ago when she became the oldest woman in the world to receive a university degree.
