It is very easy to make your own.


  • 200g canned chickpeas
  • 3 tblsp lemon juice
  • 1 garlic clove
  • salt
  • 100ml tahini (sesame seed paste)
  • 4 tblsp water
  • 2 tblsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp paprika


  • Drain the chickpeas and rinse.
  • Combine the chickpeas, lemon juice, garlic, salt, tahini, paprika and water in a food processor, and blend to a creamy consistency.
  • You can add more of the seasonings and garlic according to taste.
  • Serve with rice cakes, crispy lettuce, raw veggies etc.
