Three girls who spend their time hanging around Windmill Lane studios describe meeting Bono in this clip from a Julian Vignoles radio documentary.
'Waiting for U2' is the story of three girls from Dublin and their daily vigil in a lane outside the band's studio at Windmill Lane.
In this extract the girls talk about meeting Bono for the first time and the effect the encounter had on them. "You look straight into Bono's eyes and you see his soul."
They say they know they are foolish for the amount of time they spend on their devotion to the band. They would be embarrassed to tell other friends they had spent a night hanging outside Windmwill Lane rather than at a nightclub or disco.
