Telefís Éireann's Chief Engineer, Philip Parker speaks about the challenges of covering the events of President Kennedy's visit, including transport and equipment.
A week before the president's arrival, Philip Parker describes how "the world and his wife" will be watching coverage of the visit which will bring Telefís Éireann to an international audience.
30 vehicles, 150 staff, 25 outside broadcast cameras, a special telephone line from New Ross to Dunganstown, are just some of the logistical requirements of covering the four days of events, which will see President Kennedy visiting locations in Dublin, Wexford, Cork, Galway, Limerick and Shannon.
