Eimear Quinn who will represent Ireland in the Eurovision Song Contest performs 'The Voice'.

Classically trained singer Eimear Quinn, a member of the Irish choral group Anúna, will be representing Ireland in the 41st Eurovision Song Contest in Oslo, Norway with the song 'The Voice'. Brendan Graham, the composer, has represented Ireland on three occasions, writing the 1994 winner 'Rock n Roll Kids'.

The question is can he do it again?

As is the tradition, Ireland's Eurovision Song Contest entry is performed on 'The Late Late Show'. Guests on the show, actor and comedian Dermot Morgan, and writer Joseph O'Connor are asked for their opinions.

Following Ireland's three Eurovision Song Contest wins in 1992, 1993 and 1994, Dermot Morgan refers to the cost of hosting the 1997 show for the national broadcaster.

Do want the bad news for RTÉ? It could win.

Joseph O'Connor also thinks the song could win.

On 18 May 1996, Ireland won its 7th Eurovision Song Contest title with Eimear Quinn performing 'The Voice' written by Brendan Graham.

This episode of 'The Late Late Show' was broadcast on 10 May 1996. The presenter is Gay Byrne.
