Longest serving sports broadcaster in the world Seán Óg Ó Ceallacháin makes final broadcast for RTÉ.
After his 63 years of service to Raidió Teilifís Eireann (RTÉ), sports broadcaster Seán Óg Ó Ceallacháin presents his final 'GAA Sports Results'.
He was given a send-off with a retirement celebration in the RTÉ Radio Studio 1 on 5 May 2011. Master of Ceremonies at the retirement function was Seán Óg Ó Ceallacháin's lifelong friend and colleague Jimmy Magee.
Jimmy Magee reminisced about the many years the pair spent together in RTÉ. On 6 June 1966, the Jimmy Magee All Stars began raising money for charity. On the team in Ballyjamesduff in County Cavan, was Seán Óg Ó Ceallacháin,

Seán Óg Ó Ceallacháin presented RTÉ Radio 1's Sunday evening programme 'GAA Sports Results' from 1953 until 8 May 2011. He entered the 2012 Guinness World Records for achieving the longest career in radio sports broadcasting worldwide. His first radio broadcast took place on Radio Éireann in 1935 as part of the Scoil Colmchille school choir. In 1948 he took over the Sunday night GAA results programme from his father Seán Ó Ceallacháin.
