Residents of an apartment complex in Dublin collaborate to write a murder mystery.

'The Secrets of Beacon Court' is a murder mystery novel that has been written by 11 authors. The writers were led by cocooning 92-year-old author Alan Grainger. He came up with the idea as a way of coming together, while staying apart.

Alan Grainger has been in his apartment since the start of the COVID-10 pandemic. He came up with a novel way for his neighbours at Old Connaught House apartment complex to come together while remaining physically distant. He emailed his neighbours inviting them to relay write a murder mystery thriller. Eleven agreed and the result is 'The Secrets of Beacon Court', written under the pen name 'Lotta Vokes'.

Relay writing works when one person writes a chapter, then another person creates the next chapter, and on the process goes. The final product has been published on Amazon.

Alan Grainger who has received his COVID-19 vaccine has plans for a second relay book.
