The Swarbriggs singing 'That's What Friends Are For' is Ireland's entry to the Eurovision Song Contest.

Jimmy and Tommy Swarbrigg, originally from Cootehill, County Cavan were chosen by RTÉ to perform all eight entries in the 11th National Song Contest to select Ireland's entry for the 1975 Eurovision Song Contest.

The Swarbriggs own composition 'That's What Friends Are For' emerged as the winner with a total of 36 points. It was the first time Ireland had a singer-songwriter combination for the Eurovision Song Contest.

The preview video for 'That's What Friends Are For' was made by RTÉ producer Tom McGrath. It was done as a showcase for Irish tourism, highlighting activities such as horseriding, skydiving, swimming, golf and sailing.

Following ABBA's victory at the 1974 Eurovision Song Contest with the song 'Waterloo', the 1975 Eurovision Song Contest was held in Stockholm, Sweden. Ireland placed ninth out of the 19 competing countries, with a total of 68 points. The winner with 152 points was the Dutch group Teach-In with the song 'Ding-a-dong'.
