The Stone Art Gallery has been showing work from in Spiddal for seven years.

The gallery is situated in An Spidéal just 12 miles from Galway city in the heart of Connemara.

Angela Ridge talks about the success of the art space to date. The Stone Art Gallery has shown work by artists from throughout Ireland. This year, the gallery has hosted exhibitions by Padraic Reaney from Carraroe as well as exhibitions by painter Brian Burke and sculptor Edward Delaney. The current exhibition is by Jay Murphy.

The gallery got its name from the person who first ran the gallery and who was a stone sculptor. The gallery still works with stone and has created new designs to coincide with the Galway quincentennial.
