A steam engine that once ran on the Dublin Belfast line takes railway enthusiasts on a trip in Antrim.
Railway enthusiasts take an excursion on board the Slieve Gullion on the Great Northern Railway as part of the Shane's Castle Steam Train Rally.
The 66 year old locomotive Slieve Gullion, known as the 171, was built for the Belfast to Dublin run. The Slieve Gullian now hauls the Portrush Flyer excursion train.
The train was last used in 1974 and will make two further trips this year on 14 and 18 August. With over 200 passengers on board, the steam engine was crewed by two drivers from Northern Ireland Railway drivers who usually operate diesel engines.
