The Philadelphia Rose Maria Walsh is the new Rose of Tralee.
Still taking it all in, Maria Walsh enjoys her first day after becoming the 56th Rose of Tralee.
On top of the world was how the newly crowned Rose of Tralee was feeling this morning.
Maria Walsh was born in Boston, raised in Mayo and now lives in Philadelphia. The newly crowned Rose is delighted with her win and is happy to support Kerry in any way she can.
Maria Walsh was the bookie's favourite and with her cropped hair and tattoos, she broke the traditional Rose mould.
Maria Walsh is ready to seize all the opportunities that come her way. One of her first official duties as the Rose of Tralee was the traditional photo call in the rose garden. Proud parents, Noreen and Vincent Walsh were there to celebrate with her.
