Could the De Havilland Dash 7 aircraft be used on an air service between Dublin and Kerry?

The Canadian de Havilland Dash 7 aeroplane was put through its paces on a flight from Dublin to Kerry Airport in Farranfore.

The Dash 7 can take off and land on a very short runway.

With a capacity for up to 50 passengers The Dash 7 cruises at over 200 miles an hour and can take off and land on a very short runway. Among those on board for the demonstration flight from Dublin was the Minister of State at the Department of the Environment, John O'Leary.

It was the biggest plane ever to use Farranfore Airport.
