Acts that are ingenious and downright bizarre at the Street Performance World Championship in Dublin.

The Street Performance World Championship brings 31 of the best street performers in the world to Ireland. Following a successful weekend in Fitzgerald Park, Cork the event comes to Merrion Square in Dublin. Over 100,000 people enjoyed acts in both locations.

Attendees of all ages enjoy the free entertainment,

Well, you feel like a child again, you know, that is the main thing.

Performers taking to ten stages in Merrion Square include contortionists, breakdancers, magicians, jugglers, and a man who makes sandwiches with his feet. One of the most popular acts is ex-gymnast Emma Kerger aka Bendy Em who can squeeze herself into a 40 centimetre glass box.

The winner of the Street Performance Championship is decided by the public. Audiences in Cork and Dublin can vote at booths. The world champion will be crowned by the Lord Mayor of Dublin Emer Costello.
