Dubliners get a look at the Luas trams that will be on the new light rail system serving Dublin city centre.

The official starting date for Luas the new Dublin tram system is two weeks away. Tom Manning from the Rail Procurement Agency confirmed that those with special travel passes will be able to use them on the capital’s light rail system,

All old age pensioners and people with special passes will travel free at all times on Luas.

Today was a public safety awareness day for future users of Luas. Busy junctions have been highlighted as risk areas, and motorists and pedestrians have been warned to take extra care when crossing tram lines as,

The trams are wider than they may appear.
