Having lost their opening Five Nations games Ireland and Wales prepare to meet at Lansdowne Road.
The Welsh team trained at the Aer Lingus grounds near Dublin Airport. Wales expect a tough game against Ireland and hope for a better performance than against Scotland two weeks ago in Cardiff when they lost 9–15.
The side has many young players so even their supporters reckon they have a battle on their hands to win.
Welsh captain Mike Watkins is confident that inexperience is not a problem for his team.
Ireland have two new caps, both from Ulster Jim McCoy and Willie Duncan. Jim McCoy has had no problem settling into the team and is looking for a positive result in tomorrow's game. Ireland coach Willie John McBride is not over confident about getting a win.
I would never be extremely confident as long as we play with a ball that shape.
He is hopeful that Ireland can perform better against Wales than they did the opening game against France which they lost 25–12 in Paris.
The match takes place at Lansdowne Road tomorrow where spectators will have the first chance to see a new stand. Stringent checks are being made on tickets because of reports of forgeries.
