In February 2014, President of the Trump Organisation Donald Trump bought the five star Doonbeg Golf Resort in, County Clare for an estimated €15 million.
Visiting this latest acquisition for the first time, Donald Trump lands at Shannon Airport in his personal Boeing 757. He is accompanied by his daughter Ivanka and sons Donald Junior and Eric.
At the steps of Donald Trump's plane, the Irish classical crossover group Affintí play a fanfare welcoming the US billionaire to Shannon Airport. Donald Trump is also greeted by Minister for Finance Michael Noonan and Shannon Airport chairperson Rose Hynes.

He hopes to attract big golfing tournaments to Doonbeg such as the Irish Open.
Already environmental work is being carried out to repair storm damage on the Doonbeg greens and Donald Trump is committed to protecting a tiny snail Vertigo Angustior that has made its habitat in the dunes.
The investment in Doonbeg is great news for the tourism industry in the area and is expected to create hundreds of jobs.
