Decades of Irish fashion design celebrated at the National Museum of Ireland.

The exhibition at the National Museum, Collins Barracks shows garments and accessories dating back to 1950 which put Irish designs into the mainstream.

It's a glimpse into what Mammy or Grandma wore.

Models include Grace O'Shaugnessy who wears an orange knit top with printed wool skirt which she first modelled for Nelly Mulcahy in 1962. Grace O'Shaughnessy describes how fashion changed through the decades. For her the sixties was,

A fascinating time to be alive and to be involved in clothes.

The exhibition at the National Museum features designs from Pat Crowley, Ib Jorgensen, Mary O'Donnell, Richard Lewis, and Lainey Keogh.
