A preview to the Alternative Miss Ireland, a charity fundraising event hosted by Panti Bliss.
Alternative Miss Ireland is a beauty pageant in aid of Dublin AIDS Alliance. The gala charity show coincides with St Patrick's Day celebrations and takes place at the Temple Bar Music Centre on Saturday 16 March.
In the great tradition of beauty pageants, contestants will be judged on evening wear, day wear and swimwear. However, this is a beauty pageant with a different. Gay Byrne introduces some of the contestants who will be competing for the title of 'Alternative Miss Ireland'.
Not only are women allowed to enter, but men and animals as well.
Panti will be master of ceremonies on the night and escorts Miss Susie one of the canine contestants into The Late Late Show studio. Susie is wearing a diamante encrusted collar for her evening wear.
Another contestant, Miss Tress along with her two obedient attendants, pays tribute to Saint Patrick wearing a snake emblazoned outfit.
Miss Fisch from Germany wears a "patriotic tri-colour inspired top", while Miss Intrepid arrives on a Honda CG125 in specially commissioned sunflower shorts.
