Thirteen thousand Santas gather in Derry in an effort to enter the Guinness Book of Records.
Organisers in Derry had hoped that 10,001 Santas would turn out for the record breaking event. Almost 13,000 registered in advance and many more turned up in full Santa regalia to join in the fun. The sea of Santas made their way through the Derry streets to Guildhall Square.
Thousands turned out in a parade of red and white to walk Derry into the record books.
Each Santa donated £5 to £10 raising thousands for four local charities. The main objective of the day was to outdo cities like Las Vegas and Liverpool and write Derry into the record books for the largest gathering of Santas.
