The Republic of Ireland begin their Euro 2008 qualification campaign against Germany in Stuttgart.
An estimated 25,000 Republic of Ireland football fans are in Stuttgart for the Euro 2008 qualifier game against Germany. Many of the fans do not have tickets and will have to watch the game on the big screen in the Schlossplatz.
The Steve Staunton side face a tough task against the Germans but the Irish fans remain hopeful.
Republic of Ireland supporters are hoping for a win but will settle for a draw.
Hopefully, tonight will be another great night for the Irish in Europe.
Steve Staunton announced his team earlier today with Kevin Doyle given his first competitive start. Looking forward to the game he says it is the type of match you dream about when you are younger.
