Over 400 jobs are to be created in Cork as the American online retailer Amazon opens a customer service centre at the Cork Airport Business Park.
The online retailer Amazon with its headquarters in Seattle sells a wide variety of consumer products. The company has European operations in Britain, France and Germany.
Supported by IDA Ireland, Amazon has picked Cork Airport Business Park as the location for a multi-lingual customer service centre with the promise of 450 jobs.
Cork Institute of Technology (CIT) and University College Cork (UCC) produce more than 500 business, computing and language graduates annually. They will be targeted for recruitment and are the main reason why Amazon is coming to Cork.
